NUC Team Visits GFU

Greenfield University was granted Provisional License by the National Universities Commission Abuja after formal approval by the executive council at the meeting of  5th February 2019. It is customary and mandatory that the National Universities Commission (NUC) visits the University after a period of three years to appraise the running and performance of the University.

The NUC team from the directorate of inspection and innovation lead by professor Yasham Ango from Kaduna state University (KASU) was at Greenfield University for this inspection. Other members of team include Mrs Lydia Imoroa the acting director of the inspection and innovation directorate and three others on the 25th of July for a period of three days. The team was welcomed with a dinner by the community, members of the council and the entire University management.

The team went through then University organization and details of the operations. The highlight of the event included the presentation of the workings of the University library from a training program organized by the European Union in London by the University librarian via zoom to the delight of the NUC team. Other areas visited included the modern Digital Resource Center (DRC) and the newly constructed multipurpose Biotechnology , Biology and Chemistry labs. The multipurpose lab was built as part of the community development.
