Business Administration
Our BSc Business Administration course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills which are required for managing the ever growing and changing business environment. Students will gain insights into real-world business practices and they will also learn to develop processes and systems which will be useful for efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
Year One
In the first year, students will gain basic knowledge in business, economics and accounting.
Core courses
- Principles of economics
- Basic mathematics I & II
- Introduction to business I & II
- Communication in English
- Use of library, study skills and ICT
Students will take Required and Elective courses from within and outside the department to make up the minimum number of credit units.
Year Two
In the second year, students will begin to advance their knowledge in business administration principles, financial accounting, marketing and economics.
Core courses
- Principles of business administration I & II
- Elements of marketing
Students will take Required and Elective courses from within and outside the department to make up the minimum number of credit units.
Students will undertake a micro project organized in conjunction with a reputable company to gain exposure to real-world business issues.
Year Three
In the third year, students will begin to develop a deeper understanding of management theories, small and medium scale enterprises, financial and human resource management and entrepreneurship.

- Innovation management
Students will take Required and Elective courses from within and outside the department to make up the minimum number of credit units.
Year four
The final year provides students with in-depth knowledge of business policies and strategies, communication skills for business, planning and economics.

- Business policy and strategy I & II
- Production and operation management
- International economics I & II
- Business communication skills I & II
- Management information systems
- Analysis of business decisions
Students will undertake their final year research project and present a thesis.
Students will take Required and Elective courses from within and outside the department to make up the minimum number of credit units.
Students will be prepared for employment and so they will take the ‘Employability and Career Planning’ course.
